Jumping Into Action

Jumping into action

This is the first entry for this blog. It is actually the first entry for the first blog I ever create! And, actually, starting this blog is a product of the great lesson that I learned this week.
The best way to learn any kind of skill is to practice it and jump into action even when we still feel insecure. In fact, that insecurity is the reason why we must jump into action right away and try so we can sooner. We have a saying in Spanish that closely translates to ‘’you learn by messing up things’’. It’s better to commit mistakes sooner so we can be better prepared later.
So, whenever you want to learn a new skill don’t limit yourself to books and lectures but rather look for opportunities to practice it through case studies, role plays and even engaging in the actual activity.

An important principle from the book ‘’The Start up of you’’: ABZ planning

Your plan A is what you are doing right now.
Plan B is your next move when you need to change plan A or something better comes to your life.
Plan Z is your life-boat; what allows you to take risks. Plan Z is that option that you can fall back on when everything else fails and then restart the battle from there.

I will keep posting entrepreneurial and management principles in this journal. May this be the first of many.
